The Moon’s been in super-star Leo since late Wednesday and its been tickling our creative and extravagant sides. The Moon, however, is currently making a hard angle to the Sun in Taurus. While the Taurus sun’s desire for physical closeness and comfort compliments the Leo Moon’s need for romance and drama, it tends to take its time whereas Leo can’t wait. Both these signs like the good things in life but differ on how to get them. Taurus cautiously saves, counting every penny, and bides their time to pounce on a bargain. Leo however, sees what they want and spares no expense to have it - even if it means being a starving artist. Taurus is artsy too but would rather die than live on top ramen.

On a personal level, you might experience a little resistance from someone who has the same goals as you but a slightly different approach to achieving them. Rather than stubbornly resisting new ideas, try to view the other person’s way of doing things as an added skill for your arsenal. Sometimes different approaches yield the missing puzzle piece you didn’t realize you’ve been missing.

While the Sun and Moon are both in fixed signs, actions speaks louder than words and self expression is sort of your calling card. Try finding creative outlets when things get you peeved (and its possible when the Sun links up with Pluto to boil over when you are crossed).

We can find unique solutions to problems today, but not necessarily the ones we expect. Rational Mercury will be dueling with spaced out Neptune blurring the border between fact and fiction. We might envision something cool that seems way out but actually turns out to be prophetic. Example: the communicators of star trek actually inspired engineers to create the “flip phone” almost thirty years later.

Let that Leo Moon creativity and love melt the opposition away and lead to something useful down the road.

Yesterday the Moon entered it’s home port of Cancer the Crab and we all felt like hunkerin down. We might have felt overwhelmed by an alignment of mercury and Uranus that dumped a load of info on us that needed sorting. We were also a little dizzy from the square of Venus and Neptune that made us fill in details with our own fears and flights of fancy. Luckily the Cancer Moon is skilled at dealing with crisis and it quickly took on the task, tackling feelings first.

Today circumstances want us to change our tune for tuna and move forward but we are conflicted by our emotions as the watery Cancer Moon bumps up first against erratic Uranus and then unyielding Pluto. We could get obsessed and riled up over something that seems unfair and resist change altogether.

The Cancer Moon wants us to protect our feelings and keep them out of the line of fire and an aspect between Venus and stern Saturn tonight and tomorrow will keep everyone duty bound and emotionally distant until the Moon enters proud Leo.

People tend to cry more easily, seek nurturing and call up mom when the Moon is in Cancer. Its also a great day for planting seeds and gardening as Mother Earth embraces her children.

Hope Sandoval is a Cancer who makes you feel all soft inside when she sings. Kinda like a soft shelled crab.

Happy Mothers Day y’all!!

There’s some interesting twists and turns in the sky right now. Starting yesterday the Moon cruised into chatty Gemini and immediately got in a tangle with Neptune. This caused our messages to come out garbled and made us a tad sleepy. On top of that, Gemini’s (and Virgo’s) ruling planet Mercury is holding hands with the Sun in strong and silent Taurus. Taurus isn’t big on long, drawn out explanations. Its energy wants us to get to the point and be succinct. So if you find yourself asking someone more than once what they mean, you might as well give up. Also trying to sway people with words is a losing battle. People are more interested in poetry than politics. You’d be hell bent to change people’s minds during an election while Mercury is in fixed Taurus. Show em proof and results, not promises.

Today the Gemini Moon trips the light fantastic with optimistic Jupiter, highlighting the positive possibilities rather than the realities. This is a strong, uplifting lunar influence but positive change is gradual since there are many planets still visiting slow and steady Taurus.

While there is a stellium of planets in material Taurus, Gemini Paula Abdul reminds us that it aint the stuff that you have but the way that love that matters.

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day

The Moon and four other orbs are in steady Taurus, grounding us but also slowing things down. We are on the verge of a Lunar eclipse which begins TOMORROW evening that will ask us to make some tweaks and changes to our business as usual but we’re bound to resist since its in the sign of Taurus. The eclipse is tricky since it aspects both communicator Mercury and Mars, the ring fighter so a few mental melt downs, verbal disputes, and hasty words are par for the course. After the fallout, a windfall is possible in an area of your life that felt stagnant, but you still might have to bite your tongue for a few days. That way, when the dust settles, you’ll be able to see the silver lining.

Everyone will seem a tad “off” so don’t jump to conclusions. Just remember we’re all 90% water and our endocrine systems (hormones) are getting pulled like taffy and our emotions are clouding our thoughts. Late tomorrow night, Mercury and Neptune join forces for magic and Venus shifts into chatty Gemini, encouraging us to talk about our desires and how to manifest them.

The Moon has been in hyperactive Aries since late Sunday, spurring us into a frenzy of activity. Everyone has been a touch effected and wanting take on more than they can chew. If you didn’t manage your time, you might have been apt to paint yourself in a corner. Just make sure to do follow through with promises or bigger problems will happen down the road.

The stars are wild right now with the ongoing war between Pluto and Uranus and as the Moon dances though this minefield, so do our feelings. Also, what we say today could pack a punch as Mercury and Mars align in Taurus. Mercury also harmonizes with heavy Pluto making conversations intense and we might not be satisfied with shallow conversation. Also, try to watch out for arguments. Taurus energy prefers the simple, uncomplicated and kind approach, but if you rile the bull, you’ll get the horns. Later, the Sun gets a little high with Neptune but the brain confusion will get burned off by the fiery Aries Moon as it continues to do ten thousand tasks.

Tomorrow, get ready for an intense New Moon/Lunar eclipse in Taurus. If you happen to have any planets in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, expect the next few days to be especially WEIRD - for everyone else, it’ll just seem strange (and beautiful). After the eclipse, plans should gain traction.
